Myrrh was presented as a gift of the same worth as gold in the Three Kings story in the Bible, and in Greek culture, it has long been regarded as sacred. For nearly fifteen centuries, it ranked among the most prized goods in global trade, bringing immense wealth to Arab merchants who dealt in incense and aromatic resins. Over time, myrrh became associated with abundance, vitality, and well-being.

Ancient civilizations treasured the resin of the myrrh tree for its rich aroma, using it in perfumes and ceremonial incense, as well as in healing preparations. Ointments made with myrrh were especially valued for treating wounds. Traditionally, myrrh essential oil has been believed to offer antiseptic benefits, reduce inflammation, and support the body’s natural healing process.

We carefully select myrrh sourced from Somalia, Africa, where it is harvested through humane and responsible practices. Myrrh trees grow only in arid, extremely desert regions. Due to these geographical limitations, their distribution is sparse, resulting in a limited supply of raw materials.

Each tree produces approximately 2-4 kg of resin per year, and with natural harvesting methods, the overall yield remains relatively low.
